Established as FSI (Fernando Soto Insurance & Investments) in 1985 in St. Thomas, USVI, Fernando became a 2nd Generation Life/Health Agent. He insured approximately 2,000 government employees in the United States Virgin Islands and became the #1 Aflac Agent in the Caribbean. He retired from Aflac at the age of 32 – the youngest agent ever to do this.
In 1997, Fernando and his family moved to Myrtle Beach and reestablished the business under Client First, Inc. Also in 1997, Fernando introduced BNI to the Carolinas and established the first chapter in Surfside Beach. Wanda then joined Fernando in the business the same year. She became a licensed agent in 2001.
Together Fernando and Wanda joined the National Association of Health Underwriters and became contributing members; Fernando attends yearly conferences in Washington, D.C. to speak on the subject of healthcare in our nation with elected officials. Wanda has held multiple positions on the local Board of Directors for 3 years and on the State Board for 1 year. She still attends yearly conferences held in Columbia, SC, to discuss local healthcare issues.
